Huh.. this was a very busy week! As you know was Monika from Switzerland for a business trip here. So we’ve been every evening out after work. On Wednesday evening we’ve visited the “World Press Photo 08” – exhibition in Trastevere. It was great! I’ve been absolutely fascinated of the pictures they had there. There were a lot of impressive ones! Like pictures from wars, earthquakes but also from family stories etc. (You can submit your photo to a specified category). So we’ve been there with Courtney from LA. Afterwards we just walked through Trastevere *really like this area* and had dinner at “Il Duca”. Had “Cacio e Pepe”… means Pasta just with cheese and pepper. Really yummi ;). After another short walk through the streets did we have a Chocolate Shot. Did you ever hear about? Yummi.. was that good! (see the picture below). It’s served in a shot glass that you can eat (chocolate as it names says), filled with some liquor, topped with whipped cream and a topping like nuts, cacao etc. And then you have to enjoy all at once! It’s great!! The mix of chocolate, liquor, cream and topping – and this all at once – *wooho*… Was definitely not the last time I’ve been there! So ya.. on Thursday evening did we meet after my Italian-Class at the Hard Rock Cafe (Barberini). Had a very good dinner (Wild Alaska Grilled Salmon, crushed potatoes and aspargus) and amazing drinks! (Try the Strawberry Daiquiri — oh … I’m still in heaven!) So.. yesterday we went to my place. Made Pizza by ourself (at least the topping *g*) and had a relaxing and funny evening. Then today did we meet at Piazza del Popolo, bought some stuff like shirts, pants etc… and after having lunch at Termini did Monika go back to her hotel (she’s leaving tonight) and I went to Villa Borghese. Enjoyed the sun and the calmness. So actually I don’t have any other plans for this weekend. Just relaxing…. and hope to sleep a bit.. (didn’t sleep more than 5-6 hours during the last days).
So.. here some (or actually a lot) of pictures from Wednesday evening in Trastevere, Thursday at Hard Rock Cafe and Friday at my place. *enjoy*
